If you are a business using these sites and list an offer what is the cost to you the business owner.
I’m not sure what you mean. Please rephrase your question.
If you list an offer on a daily deal site what percentage of the deal does the site take.
It varies enormously. The range is between 15% to 50%.
Why such a large swing in charges.
I don’t know Pete. You will have to contact each Daily Deal site directly to find out the specifics.
It varies because some of them have larger profiles and larger databases of members. And for example if you go with Cudo (http://cudo.com.au) they also have tv ads so your business gets TV ads so i would say they take a larger cut. Just depends on the exposure that your business will get out of it.
That makes sense. Thanks Dave!
Thank you! I was using your NZ site, and missed it when I first moved to Oz, the only other one I’ve found for Australia was just awful. Then they revamped it and it is more awful!
Also, the 1SaleaDay site is currently down for intellectual property reasons, so you might want to move that to the ‘other’ sites for now.
Thanks very much for your support Nicola.
Thanks for the heads-up about 1SaleADay too. I have removed their link.
Grabone has Brisbane deals running and launching in Sydney very soon.
http://www.grabone.com.au
Thanks for that Van. I have updated the list.
Great compilation of websites mate, very handy and will be looking into these sites for my products.
Good to hear, thanks Steven.
Just noticed this one in Adelaide . Deals change at midnight every day
Yipee.com.au
Not only did you notice it, I see that you built it Anthony
Don’t be shy mate
Good job with the site, was thinking of doing a deals website based in Adelaide…more and more competition.
I’ll try and spread the word a little bit for you.
I’d appreciate that very much Steven, thank you!
Am I addicted to deal websites if I’ve made 15 purchases in 45 days!?
Hi Sheldon, Great job with listing all the daily deal sites. Looks like you have done a lot of research and put some time into it. Please take a look at our daily deal aggregator http://www.dealsmix.com.au. We launched it in October 2010 and had some very good feedback for design and usability. Please check it and let me know how it looks. Thanks
Also, just wanted to add we are in most cities of Australia. Launching in NZ very soon
Great site Sunny! Clean layout, easy to use. Well done.
Good grief! If you have purchased xmas gifts in advance then that’s ok, but if its just toys for yourself you’ve got a problem
It’s all for me pretty much!
Thanks for listing us Sheldon
No worries Sunny. I love your map on your home page!
Hey Sheldon, Thanks for the mention
No worries Alex. Dividing the deals into your four tabs is very clever!
Cheers
Not really sure that everyone knows the difference between “daily deals” and”group buying” tho.
Think i need to divide them into a few more subcategories some point soon, (restaurants, hair, massage etc) but classifying is going to have to be a manual process
haha very true, and then a hybrid daily deals site comes along and we have to rethink our categories again
Good to see you have the name change of Zoupon to Deals.com.au on here, only prob is it looks a little to far down the list at 13
how do push sites higher up?
Hi Lauren, Deals.com.au is a client of yours?
I’m happy with the order at the moment, but in a few months time I’ll be open to suggestions of changes to the order.
Indeed they are – besides, their deals are selling very well, couple of hundred per day – have even purchased some myself.
ok, thanks Lauren
Hey Sheldon
Check out dealsurf.com too, nothing yet but looks to be a deal aggregator world wide!
Looks promising, thanks Steven!
Please add couee.com.au
Thanks Kim, will do. And 10% of proceeds go to charity? That’s a nice touch!
launching soon: http://www.grabbed.com.au
they pay commission to anyone that signs up a business. Commission is running, so based on number of deals rather than a fixed amount of say $100
I don’t understand. What will you be selling? Where can I find out more? There is no explanation on the website at all.
hi sheldon,
deals will be coming really soon and you will be able to see much more
That is a very vague answer. Let me know when you’ve launched and I’ll check it out. I’d would have liked to add you to the “coming soon” list but I don’t even know what kind of daily deals website you are launching, so I won’t.
hi sheldon
we have now launched!
check us out
Coming soon: Drinkle – http://www.drinkle.com
Drinkle offers great deals and discounts on all things beer, wine and spirits at local bars, restaurants, clubs, pubs and liquor stores in your city.
Good to see some booze related variation
Thanks Cameron, I’ve added that to the Coming Soon list.
Iam sure you have heard of this site but thought i should let you know of it anyway as they have been advertising big lately. they are zoro.com.au and they open in a month. be great to get there deals when they open.
cheers steve
Thanks Steve. I will put Zoro.com.au on the “coming soon” list until they launch on 30th of April

Hi Sheldon,
You need to take these companies off your web site asap so as others do not
full for the same as l and many others have.
What is there to cheque on, the company has gone bust and l would like my
money back asap.

Wendy
Thanks for your thoughts on this Wendy
what is the point of this site? if i want a deal ill just get the deal company who actually sells the deal to tell me about it by signing up and saving the hassle of coming to a place where I cant buy anything such as this. How do you even make money? This site is crap
Not that your comment dignifies an answer, but where do you find out about the deal companies in the first place without sites like this? To find the deal company you have to hope you see them advertised or a friend tells you, or you can find a site that has it’s ear to the ground and can tell you about all the different sites available as soon as they come to light. Also, in case you missed the memo about The Internet, some people just like to share information, no financial compensation required. Shocking, I know.
Thanks for the backup Nicola
This site is convenient, a compilation of all the deal websites. If you don’t like it, leave it. Other people find it very useful.
Hi All
Our wine deal site will be live this Monday 11th April. We are based in Albury NSW.
We are interested to be listed!
Cheers
Justine
Done! Thanks Justine.
Hi all,
We have just launched a new a new daily deals aggrigator site. We ask you to subscribe upfront and select the categories you like, so that we are able to show you deals that matter to you. In addition to that we have a provison where you could sell a coupon that you no longer wish to use or are unable to use. We send you one email at the end of the day with the current deals and redeals.
We request you to pay us a visit at http://www.dealshub.com.au and signup.
We value your valuable feedback so please leave feedback via our contact us page.
Warm Regards,
Bhavi
ok, thanks for that Bhavi, I’ve added your site to the list.
Hi Guys,
Just a quick heads up, our deal site http://www.golfon.com.au will be going live sometime in early May 2011. We have been working for quite a few months on it and all is looking good for us to go.
We will be putting our deals up per state rather than city.
Keep an eye on it and let the golfer in your family know about it
Thanks
Chris
Sounds great Chris, I’ve added your site to the “Coming Soon” list. Please let us know when you have locked in a launch date.
Cheers,
Sheldon.
Hi Sheldon,
Great website.
Are you able to update the link of BargainDesk – item#13 in [AGGREGATORS of 1 Day Sale Websites ] to http://www.bargaindesk.com.au . Your review would be highly appreciated too. BargainDesk now has a new website and iPhone app that aggregates Group buying deals, Daily deals, Catalogues and Bargain hunting sites. Thanks again. Keep up the good work.
Best regards,
Mehrdad
Hi Mehrdad, I apologise for that error. It was leftover from some testing I was doing a few days ago.
I would very much like to review your website. However, due to high demand for my reviews/evaluations/critiques I am only able to do so for the fee of AU$240+gst. Let me know if you’d like to go ahead and I’ll book that task in within the next 48 hours and provide you with a short report (up to one page in length).
Hi Sheldon,
Your list keeps on growing. Good job!
Are you able to update the link for BargainDesk deal aggregator. Can you set it to our home page http://www.bargaindesk.com.au? The current link does not display any deals.
We have updated our website to give it a cleaner layout. We also show every “Experience” deals for all major Australian cities.
Thanks,
Mehrdad
Great job Mehrdad, much improved!
Link updated as requested.
Thanks Sheldon.
Thanks for adding http://www.dealslifestyle.com.au to the coming soon list, will let you know of the definate launch date soon!
Premium venues, premium deals – Deals Lifestyle!
ok, cheers Steven
Hi Sheldon
Thanks for adding http://www.shareon.com.au to “EXPERIENCES 1 Day Sale Websites [20]” .
You are quite welcome whoever you are
I appreciate your warm welcome. Thanks
Hi Sheldon
Great effort ….good website for all daily deals bargain hunters.
we launched daily deal aggregator http://99deals.com.au in November 2010 and constantly updating with new features and adding new websites & cities.
We currently follow 15 deals sites and 19 cities. Deals can be viewed on the main page and if subscribed the detailed deals page with list view and map view ( first of its kind in Australia) are displayed. Kindly add http://99deals.com.au list and please review the website and give us the feedback. We will try our best to improve based on your feedback.
Thanks Naz. I’ve added your site to the list. My only suggestion is that the thumbnails for the deals should be bigger. Otherwise, great job!
Hi Sheldon
Thanks very much for adding the site. The site initially ha d mandatory subscription to see the deals but changed so that the deals could be visible on the main page and the thumbnails are small. But if subscribed the thumbnails are bigger and better and also has map view with multiple POIs.
I might bring everything to the home page. Please login and give me your feed back. Much appreciated.
Hi Sheldon
99deals.com.au now also displays grocery deals from groceryrun and offyourtrolley .. http://99deals.com.au/grocery-deals/ please check and pass your feedback.
Thanks
Naz
Really? That’s a bit strange.
Hi Sheldon ..please check http://99deals.com.au now and give your feedback.
We have done some major changes on the website.
Excellent work Naz. My only recommendation is to make the “change city” bigger. I missed it, and had to go all the way to the bottom of the page to change the city.
Thanks Sheldon ..I did notice that and we will fix it soon.
Few more update soon: Shorter description, diff sortings, rss feeds
Launching in early June, Our Daily Deal is a local Melbourne project by two internet marketers Mike and Annette. With absolutely no experience in this area, we welcome small businesses to have a go and work with us in our launch! Better to have a go and fail then to read about everyone else doing it.
Welcome to the club Mike
Sheldon, I have posted a link to your site under My Links at http://www.aussiedailydeal.com Your blog is a great resource!
Thanks Mike!
Hi,
I’m missing http://www.citysnatch.info on your site, they have deals for Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Fiji. You can download vouchers and get the deal at the business then. They also have e-vouchers, which is pretty cool. I’ve tried it last week, you just show the deal on your mobile to the business thats great! Like the idea.
Cheers,
Rainer
nah, it’s not daily so I won’t be adding it to the list. Thanks for finding it though!
Hi Sheldon,
Cheers for adding my site http://www.dealportal.com.au to your list. Have enjoyed creating it.
Thanks Damian
Hi Sheldon,
we have just launched our new website and have gone with local deals for the following regions:
Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, North Shore, and Inner West.
Can you please update our details
Cheers
Sam
Sure thing Sam. Done.
Hi Sheldon,
Our website will be officially launching on July 4! Right now we are offering people the chance to win an iPad 2 by signing up, and also by referring friends you can become eligible for our “Super Krazy Deals”, the first of which will see us selling iPhone 4s for only $50! Would love to be listed.
Cheers
Josh
I am back with another Deals site – 365 Sales launched today – these guys a bit different to the norm, these guys have 1 company per day, instead of 1 deal per day – 365 days of sales from 365 different companies around Australia. If you know any companies that would get on board, send me an email I will get the guys to give them a call.
Hi Lauren, sorry 365sales.com doesn’t meet the criteria so I won’t be adding it to the list.
Don’t forget http://thedealer.com.au – it’s the only aggregate I’ve seen that’s trying to do something a little different + less spammy.
Thanks Mo, I’ll add that one to the list right now.
sweet site, such a good source of info on all the deals sites. I can’t believe there are so many out there now, craziness.
I have even seen deals doing the rounds from one site to another. funniest thing was when they end up on catch of the day they are more expensive than the other sites and they sell heaps more because they have the audience.
i reckon heaps will go out of business as unless you have $$ and relationships already they take a while to get the deals unless your so big that deals come to you.
Sheldon, as your a ‘deals guy’ what do you think will happen in then near future for deals site?
Hi Ed, thanks for your feedback, good to hear.
As for the future, I think we will see 3 things happening:
I was considering advertising a product on one of the daily deal sites. Does anyone know the different rates of commission that the top five daily deal sites charge?
Hi Laurence, You will need to be able to offer at least 50% discount off normal retail price to the customer, and you can expect the site to take 10-25% commission off what is remaining.
Hi Sheldon, I think you’ll find the big names are even higher than that. Star deals is 50%. Scoopon is 40%. Spreets is 15% but has a clause regarding unclaimed vouchers, with a few calculations, the minimum they take is 30%.
Hi Laurence
Check us out at dealslifestyle.com.au, feel free to leave an enquiry and I’ll get in touch with you. We think you’ll like our point of difference.
Hi there, I will be launching my new website bagzit.com.au in July 2011, it will have great deals. And will feature many sales that other websites are not doing. Hoping to be huge, would love you to add to your coming soon list. Thanks so much.
Jan
Hi Jan, that link doesn’t work, could you check the spelling please?
Hi Sheldon, Deals Lifestyle has gone live now
Thanks Steven, so you are starting “nationwide”? What will be your first city?
No probs Sheldon, thank you.
Deals will be starting in Adelaide firstly, first Adelaide based deal will be up within the next few days.
Thanks again!
Ok, Cheers.
Hi Sheldon,
Could we get our website http://www.aussiedailydeals.com added to your site, please.
Thanks
Done!
Zoro.com.au is up and running.
Thanks for the update Lucas.
Unfortunately, sites that demand an email address before showing any deals do not meet the criteria for listing on this site.
Let me know if you remove it.
Sheldon,
Could we get our website http://www.iwantthat.com.au/deal-of-the-day/ added to you site please. We stock office toys, wacky gifts and gadgets and have a new deal every day at 7pm
cheers
shane
Sure Shane. Done!
Hi Sheldon
I personally have found your site very handy like many others have and will. It’s a great source of information for businesses looking to do a campaign and a great time saver for busy people looking for a bargain. We all love a bargain so the quicker you can find one the better. I agree with the comments back from April 2011 – if you dont like the site leave but this is a fantastic tool ( just like some people out there!)
In a nut – shell kudos to you Sheldon and thanks for saving me some very valuable time!!
Thanks for your support Janine!
Apparently, loveonedaysales.com.au has strong SEO and marketing ability, I search something like daily deals in Google, and it always appears on some top positions. Thanks for the excellent jobs.
Cool, thanks for the feedback Luke
Hi Sheldon,
Thanks for the great effort in listing all daily deal related sites here. We’ve launched a restaurant daily deals aggregator which as the name suggests specialises in restaurant and dinning deals only.
Do you mind adding it to your listings pls?
Cheers
Hi Hayden, great site!
I have done so.
http://www.restaurantdeals.com.au is great
Congrats Hayden. We really hope you do well. The team at Moosta are big fans!
Many thanks guys
Many thanks Sheldon
Spreets customer service is non existant. They advise they will respond within 1-2 days when a week later they’ve still failed to come back to me?
I’ll be ensuring I tell as many people as possible about their lack of service and going to the relevant regulatory authority.
Dear David
We are keen to restore your faith in group buying sites. We offer excellent customer service, and respond to emails almost straight away and work hard to resolve issues (of which there are few) within hours. There are some great group buying sites in the market space and we’d like to prove this to you. Please email me at moose@moosta.com and we will provide you with credit to use and hopefully restore your confidence in group buying sites! We are in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra… with more cities to come
Cheers, Charlene
The website has been remade! Full functionality now and its ALL GO for Adelaide DEALS! Primarily bar and restaurant DEALS – starting with succulent Oysters!
(Sorry for the shameless plug Sheldon!)
No worries Steven, the sites looking good!
Hi there Sheldon, we would be grateful if you could add http://www.moosta.com We are a daily deal website
We recently launched in Brisbane and have just launched in Canberra. We will be rolling out to other cities shortly. We offer superior customer service. We respond to all emails within minutes and ensure our members/deal buyers have a great experience. We also offer businesses superior service, fair commissions and fast payment. There are a lot of sites and many emerging sites however few offer great service. Our level of service is already setting us apart in the market space. Cheers Charlene
Great site Charlene. Done!
Thanks Sheldon. The team at http://www.moosta.com are working hard to build a great site
Cheers, Charlene
Hi Sheldon
Hope you are having a great weekend.. Can you please add Sydney to your http://www.moosta.com listing
cheers, Charlene
Done! Thanks for the update
If anyone is thinking about using Zizzle – DO NOT USE THEM! They have the absolute WORST customer service…make that non existent! I purchased their Social Lites deal through them 6 weeks ago and not only have I not received anything, I can’t even get an update on what’s happening! Very disappointing!
Dear Nik
There are some great group buying sites in the market space and we’d like to prove this to you. At http://www.moosta.com we respond to emails from members within minutes and issues (of which there are few) are resolved within hours. Please email me at moose@moosta.com and we will provide you with credit to use and hopefully restore your confidence in group buying sites!
Cheers, Charlene
I agree with Charlene, there are some great sites out there so when you find a good one – stick with them!
Hi,
Thanks for listing Country Deals in the ‘coming soon’ category. We have now gone live with our first deals appearing today. For the first week or two, we will be having deals spanning 2 days instead of 1 day. But… we should be 1 deal every day within about 2 weeks I expect. We also have side deals for every City.
There are 23 cities including regional areas. Would it be possible to move us over to the up and going daily deal category?
Thanks heaps,
Helen
Hi Helen, thanks for the info but your pop-up window demanding an email address is in violation of the criteria for getting listed on this site. Let me know if/when you remove it. Here’s why you should remove your pop-up window.
Hi Sheldon,
Thanks for the feedback. I am working on having it removed. In the meantime, it is easy to bypass this popup page by select the city you want to view, then continue. The next bit where it asks for your email address. there is also a skip button. Anyone can skip and go straight to the deals without having to put in their email address.
To purchase a deal, like most other sites, people will still have to signup.
Thanks,
Helen
Hi, not sure whether you got my enquiry or not, we are a new daily website and are hoping to launch next week the 29th sept, could you please add us to your list of coming soon. One main deal and side deals in sydney only to start and also how do we go about getting a link on your site and would you be willing to exchange links on each others sites, have noticed you have brands exclusive on here. Thank you so much Jan
Hi Jan, remind me on the 29th and I’ll add your link.
Hi Jan!
Great to see more competition
Only thing is…”make sure to visit us on our official launch date!”
Yet your site doesn’t state what the official launch date is…how are people supposed to know?
Hi thanks for the reply, will get that changed but we should still be launching at this stage on the 29th. thaks heaps
Hi Sheldon ..
Please check http://kidzon.com.au
Coming Soon Family daily deal site!

Treats4us is a new social commerce and group buying service. Our platfrom is unique. We focus more on relationships than just sales. Check it out.
Please add this site to your listing.
Thanks.
Looks good Ash, I’ll add you to the list right now
Awesome.
I bet there is no other social commerce service like this in Australia
Do you have a list of the fashion daily deal sites?
If there are at least 3 in that category I could make a new sub-list. Which ones do you know of so far Wendy?
Hi Sheldon
So far I know
Fashionzoo
Samply
Emptywirehanger
Fantastic Wendy, thanks very much!
Hi Sheldon, we have launched inSydney please go to http://www.bagzit.com.au and take a look. Please let me know how we go about getting a link on your site and keep up the great work, love your information.
Kind regards
Jan
ok Jan, I’ll add you to the list today.
(You might need to check your code, there are 2 broken images for todays deal)
Hi there Sheldon
Hope your week is going well! Can you please ADD Melbourne to http://www.moosta.com
http://www.moosta.com is now in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne with more cities on the way,
thanks, Charly
Sure thing Charly, done!
Hey Sheldon,
Just finished updating DealPortal.com.au to a new look and heaps more functionality.
Check it out.. What you think? Improvement suggestions?
Cheers mate, Damian.
Great job Damian!
Don’t forget Deals United http://www.dealsunited.net/ – daily deal aggregator covering over 100 sites (and growing) from Australia and New Zealand. Also has email alerts, RSS/Atom feeds and Facebook/Twitter updates.
Thanks, I’ll check it out
Hi Sheldon,
FYI we are now live!
Thanks, but I see your deals are weekly, not daily, so your site is not eligible I’m sorry.
- Sheldon.
Hi,
I found this one coming soon for SYdney siders called gotyacarrot.com
It looks like it’s going to be a daily deal and going to focus on deals for all ages not just the 20 something.
Hilarious name! Thanks Jane
They are just collecting email addresses and have no other details on their site.
Hi Sheldon,
deal.ratebe.com.au has been upgraded to http://www.dealhot.com.au for a few months. It has daily deals in 8 locations in Australia. There are also some new side deals every weeks.
Can you kindly help to change the url from deal.ratebe.com.au to http://www.dealhot.com.au ?
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks for the update Luke.
Done!
There is a new deal agreegator in the market : http://www.dealstopper.com.au
Thought i should let you know
Cheers
Thanks San!
Does anyone know how I can have my website highlighted or posted here?
Hi Bhasker, here are the instructions: http://www.loveonedaysales.com.au/contact-us/how-do-i-get-my-daily-deal-business-on-one-of-your-lists/
There is a great new deal website that is for pet lovers!
Please check out http://www.luckypetdeal.com.au and feel free to add it to your growing list of daily deal websites.
cheers!
Jeff
Thanks Jeff, I’ll add your site today!
I can,t see a list anywhere of which sites are owned by same people or group ….do you have a list save me contacting all ? thnx
… sorry, I can’t help with that.
Hope you guys have seen http://dealsonlineaustralia.com
I got a laptop from there and I am very happy
That’s not a daily deal site Tony.
I just found: http://www.discounton.com.au This has to be the best deals site as there is no need to pay for your offer until point of sale, Also Merchants get to post their deals for free and sell for free unlike the other sites that take up to 50% and hold the merchants money for months. There are some great deals for Melbourne as I understand Melbourne has launched first and all the other cities are being added.. This is more like a search engine for deals
Thanks Ben, I’ll take a look!
If you work there or they are a client of yours, that’s ok, you don’t have to pretend to “just found it”
haha…let people pretend all they want Sheldon…. (like the Govt ) it’s the info were after LOL
Hi Sheldon,
Great Job!
But would need more travel deal site besides TravelFactory.com.au for my next travel trip on Aug soon.
Pls advice. Thanks.
Thanks!
A list of daily deal sites focused on travel deals could be another site all on it’s own actually… hmmmm
Find baby deals, coupons at Baby Steals your 9 am daily deal
That website is broken.
I recently spoke with a company in Australia that I found online that for a small fee allows you to make your own daily deal on their website and they advertise it to their database….you get the benefit of the exposure without having to give a big commission to a regular daily deal company….it sounds good, but for the life of me I cannot find them again…any knowledge of who they might be would be appreciated.
Sounds like Deals Lifestyle.
Only 15% commission and deals to suit the business not to suit the website
Please check out http://www.dealafterdeal.com.au and feel free to add it to your list of daily deal websites.
Thanks Lisa, I’ll take a look
Sheldon,
I don’t agree with your personal review. I have bought in the past some great hairdressing and restaurant deals. I think you are being unfair.
Thanks Lisa, please forward me examples of email newsletters from them with offers of that kind and I’ll reconsider my position.
Sheldon, Groupbees.com.au has changed since the last time you reviewed it!
1. We have a brand new friendlier layout.
2. We now aggregate almost 30+ deal sites across Australia.
3. There is a coupon management area to capture coupon information as an item is brought. Coupons can be also be stored retrospectively if user wants to add previously purchased coupons.
4. Email alerts will be automatically sent out to remind coupon expiry ( Beta feature) so that users can remember redeeming their voucher.
5. Facebook signup
6. Create your customized, summarized email alerts by selecting categories of interest.
7. Facebook Deal App at: https://apps.facebook.com/groupbees. Use Facebook signup to automatically link Groupbees to your facebook account.
The Groupbees app sits in the left navigation pane under ‘apps’ at Homepage.
8. More Australian deal sites to be added shortly
Hi Sheldon,
We are just about to launch our daily deal site in a day in a few days. Could u please add my site to your aggregator.
http://www.booyya.com
National deals throughout Australia( maybe NZ later) featuring awesome products every day from everything to anything ranging from Gadgets and Gizmos,Beauty and Fashion, Pets, etc…
Please advise.
info@booyya.com
Thanks
Debbie
Hi Debbie, I can’t do much with a “coming soon” site. Let me know when you’ve launched.
I’ll add your link to the “coming soon” list in the meantime.
Hi Guys,
My name is Tim, the Director of Pounced.com.au! We have been running for over a year now and have over 50,000 loyal members now. Any chance you can get us on your listing? Not sure how you missed us! Anyways, we love all the help.
Hi Tim, great to hear from you, thanks for reaching out.
As per the criteria, your website demands an email address before seeing anything, so I won’t be adding your site to the list at this time.
